Tesla loses two Model S executives, Elon Musk says it’s no big deal

A pair of bigwigs over at electric vehicle maker Tesla have drawn their final checks, with Peter Rawlinson and Nick Sampson calling it quits. The former was the automaker’s vice president and chief engineer, while the latter “supervising vehicle and chassis engineering.” Ricardo Reyes, a company spokesman, emailed the following: “Having completed conceptual and design engineering work on Model S , Peter has decided to step away to tend to personal matters in the U.K.” The Model S, if you’ll recall, is the un-launched four-door sedan that has heaps riding on its success, so it’s no big shock to hear that the outfit’s stock plunged around 20 percent following Bloomberg ‘s report.

Too lazy to grab your TV remote? Use Siri instead

Siri hasn’t been caught cooking dinner yet, but hackers worldwide have boldly taken Apple’s personal assistant to a whole new level by incorporating its functionality with a plethora of different devices. We’ve seen Siri use custom commands, change the temperature in your house, and even allow select car owners to utilize their automobile’s Bluetooth integration . Nifty, no doubt, but this assistant’s evolution towards greater heights isn’t over yet

GM shows off Terrain SUV with noise cancellation, says silence equals fuel efficiency

GM claims its new Terrain has other SUVs beat when it comes to fuel efficiency, and they’re citing active noise cancellation — a concept near and dear to audiophiles everywhere — as one of the driving factors that puts it 4MPG above the competition. Basically, the Terrain’s enlisted a new one-touch “Eco mode” that allows its four-cylinder engine to run at a lower torque, decreasing engine speeds, and thus saving gas.
