Another day in the jungle. This one features an editor-in-chief on a motorized jungle-ready skateboard and a revolving cast of some of the jungle’s best explorers. We’re starting to think we’re going to miss this jungle when we have to go back into civilization

It may be Christmas Eve Eve and the fourth day of Hannukah, but so far, this has felt like just another week in the consumer electronics biz. Another loco crazy, pre-CES, sink-or-swim, walk-a-dozen-miles-to-charge-your-cell kind of week

The Engadget Podcast clocks in at just over .5 hours this week, but wouldn’t you know, we managed to stuff an entire week’s worth of news into that rarified space? This week it’s all about quality, not quantity…at least in the discussion.

Asus Padfone with Tegra 3 coming in early 2012

Just as we were settling down to another calm and banterful Engadget Mobile Podcast, our special guest had to go and throw us some hard news. Yup, and rather than making you sit through the entire two-hour recording (pleasant as that would be), we’re just going to come right out with it: Nicole Scott from netbooknews.com has it on good authority that the Asus Padfone will be coming out at MWC 2012 in February. What’s more, it won’t be powered by a Qualcomm Krait S4 as suggested by that strange GLBenchmark we saw earlier — it will in fact sport a Tegra 3, just like its highly capable big bro the Transformer Prime .

It’s that time again! Sure, Tim, Brian and Terrence aren’t all in the same city, but at least they’re on the same coast for once. Engadget Podcast 256 – 09.16.2011

This week, the Engadget Podcasters get caught up in the Windows racket–and who can blame them? It was Build week, and while a lot of other things happened too, it’s not every day, or week, or even year that we get a reveal of something this massive in the computing universe.
