JVC’s 4K camcorder begins making throat-cutting motions towards the RED Scarlet

We’ve been lusting after the commercial version of JVC’s 4K camcorder for longer than we’d care to admit. It’s powered by a Falconbird LSI chip, toting a 10 x optical zoom and a 0.5-inch 8-megapixel CMOS that’ll record footage at a resolution of 3840 x 2160. The chip’s USP is its ability to process the footage as it’s being recorded rather than storing it for post processing later

Nintendo admits its Wii U highlight reel was spiced up with PS3 and Xbox 360 footage

Nintendo’s E3 2011 keynote yesterday gave the world its first official look at the all-new Wii U hardware plus (we thought) a glimpse at the graphical capabilities of its next console. As it turns out, the impressive list of upcoming games for the 2012-bound console was just that, a list, with the visuals we saw on screen coming from PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of said titles.

Naked Florida man opens fire on SWAT bot with AK-47, no kidding

“Investigators say they’ve never dealt with a naked man attacking a robot before.” So starts perhaps the most insane local news story we’ve ever heard. According to an ABC affiliate in Florida, a disgruntled man, sporting nothing more than his birthday suit and an AK-47, opened fire on a robot last week, after threatening to shoot himself and anyone who crossed the threshold of his home

Notion Ink releases Adam demo video, attempts to explain itself (video)

As promised , Notion Ink has just released a video of the Adam tablet in action, complete with that snazzy new Eden UI — the first anyone’s seen of the device since its first working prototype . While the footage itself is of disappointingly low quality, it seems to show a device somewhat worthy of the hype, with a responsive screen, a multitask-friendly interface and plug ‘n play peripherals — though we’re holding out for Pixel Qi screen tests and some closeup shots before we place any orders ourselves. Notion Ink singled out vocal critic AndroidPolice to launch the (seemingly incomplete) video and gave the publication an exclusive interview too, so take your lingering doubts about the tablet’s capabilities and head on down to our source links
