Electric bikes just got a cool new poster boy. This deceptively battery-powered bike is a sequel, matching the five-speed transmission found on the original, but now gifted with a shadowy new look and some appealing chrome licks. The Brutus 2.0 also plumps for a lithium battery over the lead battery of earlier models.

It’s here and the rumors were true — the HTC Titan II is basically an HTC Titan with LTE for AT&T and a 16 megapixel camera with backside illuminated sensor, f/2.6 AF lens and dual LED flash (vs eight megapixels sensor and f/2.2 lens on the original). The industrial design is more traditional HTC (think Thunderbolt) — gone is the rather elegant look and feel of its predecessor, along with removable battery (although the pack grows from 1600mAh to 1730mAh). We’re extremely impressed with the camera so far and are currently taking sample shots.

Both Net Applications and StatCounter have released their figures for browser market share for 2011 and it makes for largely unsurprising reading. Internet Explorer’s full share has dropped but it still maintains the top spot — a 52 percent share according to Net Applications and 39 percent according to StatCounter. Meanwhile, second place remains tantalizingly within reach for Chrome, which has made headway catching up with Firefox, whose growth had apparently stalled during 2011.

Last month, Olympus lifted the veil on a trio of 12.3-megapixel Micro Four Thirds cameras, replacing both models in its PEN line and adding the small and light E-PM1. We already knew to expect an August ship date for the $900 E-P3, but now the company filled us in on its tilt-enabled E-PL3, which will be available in black, white, red, and silver when it ships in September. Priced at $700, the kit will include either a 14-42mm zoom or 17mm fixed lens, and will retail for a full c-note higher than its predecessor, the E-PL2 .

Panasonic’s newest Micro Four Thirds cam is a mostly-incremental boost over its predecessor, the G2. But improved specs on an already solid base is good news.

When Micron’s RealSSD C300 came out, there were no competitors in sight — 355MB / sec read speeds and a SATA 6Gbps interface made for an unbelievably spritely (though also finicky ) solid state drive. Today, that’s simply not the case, as Intel’s SSD 510 and OCZ’s Vertex 3 are furiously fighting for the crown in the high-end consumer SSD space. On or about April 26th, the C300′s successor will hit the market branded as the Crucial M4 , but this time it won’t be the cream of the crop, as even though it’s assuredly a speed demon, it’s actually shown up by its predecessor in a few tests
