Amazon canceling some Transformer Prime pre-orders, supply shortages to blame

Were you one of the eager beavers who pre-ordered ASUS’ new superslate, the Transformer Prime , from Amazon? It turns out, demand for the tablet was so great that it’s outstripped the retailer’s supply, so Bezos’ business is apparently canceling orders placed on or after November 22nd and issuing refunds.

Downloads have barely been active for half a day , but for the night-owls who burned the midnight oil in order to take the developer preview of Windows 8 for a spin, this is for you. If you’re claiming to be one of the earliest of adopters of Windows 8, how have things gone? Are you waiting a few days to see the obvious issues crop up

How would you change T-Mobile’s G-Slate?

Splurged on a T-Mobile G-Slate , did you? Here’s your opportunity to voice your opinion to LG (and anyone else who’ll listen). Sporting an unorthodox aspect ratio and an affinity for a carrier that may not exist on its own by this time next year, it’s certainly one of the odder slate options on the market.

Google addresses Microsoft’s ‘patent attack’ response, says it didn’t fall for its offer (update: Microsoft responds, again)

Apple may still be staying out of the fray, but it looks like we now have a full-on back and forth between Google and Microsoft, following the former’s blog post yesterday that alleged a “hostile, organized campaign” against Android on the part of Microsoft, Apple, Oracle and others.
