Remember that curious $100, ICS-touting , Novo 7 tablet we saw back at the beginning of the month? Until now, the Ainovo (aka Ainol ) branded device was a bit of a gambler’s punt, with some Chinese sites charging a suspicion-arousing $60 shipping fee. Now, however, the odds are looking slightly better, with some US-centric retailers listing the 1GHz MIPS-based XBurst CPU slate as available for pre-order

Lenovo’s been keeping itself busy in the battle of the ultrabooks, and now its 13-inch IdeaPad U300s is up for preorder. Unfortunately, since our review, the price tag looks to have been burdened by an extra $200 — and that includes a special “web price” discount. With the likes of the MacBook Air and ASUS’ Zenbook UX31 jostling for your skinny laptop affections at lower entry-level prices, that extra chunk of change could make the U300s’ shortcomings — like the lack of an SD slot — even more of an issue

We’ve been waiting for ASUS to launch its Eee PC X101 for the better part of a year, and it looks like the wait is almost over. The slim, MeeGo-running netbook has popped up on two online retailers’ sites with price tags just above the company’s promised $199 positioning . Despite earlier rumors of a July launch , the ultraportable has managed to slip through the cracks of summer, and most likely will debut this fall — although, no official release has been mentioned

Those who pre-order from the retailer before September 12th will also receive Nokia’s BH-505 NFC Bluetooth headset gratis

There was much rejoicing Stateside upon Tuesday’s unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S II , but it’s Canadian fans that are getting the party favors ready. A reservation page for the Galaxy S II LTE — essentially the device we’ve grown to admire, but with an added 4G turbo boost — is now up and running on Rogers’ site. As a disclaimer, the only way to get one put on hold with your name on it is to fork over a $40 refundable deposit.
