Verbatim Store ‘n Go Plus: Rugged keychain thumbdrive

Thumb drives maybe going out of fashion for some people but they still are very handy, especially if you carry one with you all the time, allowing you to easily share files (legally), and backup work date without worrying about an internet connection. Unfortunately it is too easy to lose drives, we have lost hundreds of promo usb s (we do love a free things though) and drives such as the LaCie iamaKey is too easy to damage as the connection part isn’t protected very well

Reading the Fine Print on Apple’s Book-Making Software

Apple’s free book-creation tool, iBooks Author, seemed too good to be true: it gives anyone the ability to lay out an interactive book, slap it up for sale in Apple’s iBooks Store and ideally make a quick buck. But people have noticed that they are not allowed to sell these books outside Apple’s store.

Apple announces free iBooks Author OS X app for publishing books to the App Store

We’re here at Apple’s education-themed event at the Guggenheim museum in New York City, and the company’s just followed up its long-awaited textbook announcement with something unexpected: iBooks Author, a free OS X program for creating books. The intent is really for teachers and other educators to produce educational materials, but Apple says the format can apply to any genre.

Irate Customers Egg an Apple Store When the New iPhone Is a No-Show (Updated)

They had come from miles around, stood in sub-zero degree weather for hours, and patiently queued for the store to open its doors. Today was iPhone day in Beijing! But when the doors did open, the huddled masses were told there would be no iPhone 4S, not today.

Yeah, Seagate’s GoFlex Satellite and Kingston’s Wi-Drive already have this market on lock, but you won’t find us kvetching about a healthy dose of competition. Transcend has just outed yet another product in its growing StoreJet lineup, with the StoreJet Cloud stopping by the FCC for a cursory glance prior to being formally revealed here in the States.
